My name is Caterina Baldini and I am an English, German, and Japanese to Italian translator. I went to the SSML Carlo Bo University in Florence, where I still live today, and I was lucky enough to turn my passion for languages into a job.
I had the chance to study in Germany and in the United States, and then to move to Japan, living in Gifu and Nagoya for some time – we could say for family reasons.
I have had experience working as an interpreter and private teacher: I love languages in every way!
I provide technical and specialist translations, transcreations, proofreading, and localizations in the fields of Agriculture and Oenology, Statistics, Law, Medicine and Science, IT, Travel and Tourism, Fashion, and Marketing.
I believe that trust and communication with clients is of fundamental importance – in order to agree on deadlines or answer any possible question that may arise – and most of all I value confidentiality: I never release information about clients and projects without clients’ consent.
Who have I worked with?
With many different clients: agencies, clinics, lawfirms, publishers, Italian and foreign companies, museums and foundations, private clients, TV shows, and other. To name but a few, I have been collaborating with:
- Pearson Italia for which I translated the seventh edition of “Statistica”, D. M. Levine, K. A. Szabat, D. F. Stephan, a cura di G. Arbia, J. Reinhold, G. Ragozini, 2018.
- private clients for whom I translated “Statistical Analysis: An Interdisciplinary Introduction to Univariate & Multivariate Methods”, Sam Kash Kachigan, 1986, Radius Press
- Museo Galileo, Florence, Italy.
- Fondazione Scienza e Tecnica, Florence, Italy.
- Patrizia Pepe.
